The little piece of angle on the left keeps the hinges from shifting. Take the cables off and it folds up.

I am using. But he's only trying to help by leaving them in the yard right?
See the little bend in the front of the rudder? That makes it possible to leave the controls
hooked up when you fold the tail.
If you are willing to part with the$30 you can get a conduit bender at the hardware
store that will give you a very strong, simple, nice looking tail.
